SIR data collection 2006-07

Lifelong Learning UK is managing the analysis and interpretation of the SIR 15 data collection process in the further education (FE) sector for the academic year 2006/07.

For the 2006/07 academic year only, FE providers have continued to use the Learning and Skills Council's (LSC) system to return the data. Pilot studies have obtained some workforce data from adult and community learning (ACL) and work based learning (WBL) providers as well.

The following training information has been developed by the LSC and can be used for guidance on the use of SIR. However, it should be noted that some of the information may be out of date. Although LLUK is now in charge of the SIR, the Webforms are still hosted on the LSC online collections site. If you have any difficulties with the validation software or any other technical aspect of the SIR, please contact your local LSC.

ACL and WBL workforce data

Pilot studies were undertaken in the summer of 2007 to understand the feasibility and logistics of collecting workforce data from ACL and WBL providers. Reports on the workforce data collected are available by clicking the link.

Information is also available about the SIR 16 data collection (for the academic year 2007/08).
