Apprenticeships and foundation degrees
Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) is currently responsible for establishing and managing the framework of apprenticeships/modern apprenticeships in Youth Work across the UK. This includes issuing completion certificates in England and Wales, and registering centres and registering and certificating Modern Apprentices in Scotland. For further information about Youth Work apprenticeships, please click on the link.
With regard to apprenticeships in other lifelong learning careers, as well as foundation degrees in lifelong learning subjects, LLUK is currently involved in some developmental work, pending the outcome of the Sector Qualifications Strategy, which is being developed in consultation with employers and stakeholders in each of the four countries and will result in an overarching UK strategy. This work is being conducted in the line with the outcomes from LLUK's Sector Skills Agreement (SSA).
Information regarding developments relating to apprenticeships and foundation degrees will be published on this page as soon as it is available.
