Excellence in Supporting Applied Learning
A team from Oxford Brookes University was commissioned to identify 'good practice' in delivering applied learning in a partnership setting using evidence from increased flexibility partnerships and pathfinders. Training and Development Guidance for Teachers of Diplomas (TDG)
The TDG identifies generic skills which will be used by teachers of the forthcoming Diplomas. Aimed at continuing professional development (CPD) and initial teacher training (ITT) providers for schools and colleges, this document provides a basis for auditing teachers' generic skills and planning CPD courses and in-service ITT courses. Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for Teachers,Training Needs Analysis for Learning Support Staff
These TNA tools will allow current learning support staff, teachers in all sectors and those new to the profession in the FE System to identify their training needs in relation to the delivery of the Diplomas. It is envisaged that the tool will support CPD in Schools and CPD and ITT in the FE System.

Involving Business in Diploma Lessons
The resource set for Diploma delivery involves industry representatives in educational settings and targets Diploma practitioners with the aim of encouraging the effective use of employers in the classroom/learning environment.
